Renewable and Sustainable Energy Laboratory (RSEL), Kathmandu University is organizing a two-day international workshop on \u201cResearch\/Problem Based Education for Renewable and Sustainable Energy Development\u201d, from 6th -7th December 2022, in collaboration with the University of South-Eastern Norway (USN), University of Sri Jayewardenepura (USJ), Sri Lanka, and Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), Bangladesh.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The workshop is a part of the Norwegian Partnership Programme for Global Academic Cooperation (NORPART) 2021 project- \u201cInstituting of research-based education systems for the development of renewable energy technology in the circular economy (2022-2026)\u201d funded by The Norwegian Ministry of Education and Research (MER) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA).<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The main aim of this workshop is to bring together different professionals working in the renewable and sustainable energy field from academia, government, non-government and private sectors in one place to intensely discuss and share experiences on opportunities and challenges of renewable and sustainable energy development, technology transfer, and possible ways to strengthen research-based education emphasizing the circular economy.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The workshop is expected to be participated by nearly 50 delegates from 6 different countries and 9 national and international universities from Norway, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Australia, USA, and Nepal. The workshop highlights will be the keynote speeches by eminent professors from USA, Australia, and Norway and interactive panels and group discussions.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Three-panel sessions and two group discussions will discuss areas not limited to exchanging information and experiences on opportunities and challenges associated with research\/problem-based education for the development of renewable and sustainable energy and the circular economy, technology transfer, and potential for creating a network amongst institutions for advancing teaching and research practices in south countries.<\/p>\n
